HELPING BABIES, CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL WITH EXPERT, CHILD FOCUSED PHYSIOTHERAPY

Hi, I’m Louise Graham, a specialist children’s physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience in the NHS and private practice. I support babies, children, and young people with a wide range of physical needs, from early developmental delays and mobility difficulties to rehabilitation after illness, injury, or cancer treatment.
I provide personalised care tailored to each child’s needs. No two children are the same, so therapy is always built around what matters most to your child and family, creating a plan that fits their strengths, interests and goals. My approach is playful, positive, and family-centred.
Sessions are designed to be practical and manageable, fitting into everyday life so progress feels achievable rather than overwhelming. I focus on building strength, confidence, and independence for children and young people, while also supporting parents so they feel guided and reassured throughout the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 I𝗻 T𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵
The first step is simple - just contact me to talk through your child’s needs.
We’ll decide together whether an initial assessment is the right next step.
𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 A𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
Your first appointment usually lasts around an hour. I’ll spend time getting to know your child, listening to your concerns and carrying out an assessment of their movement and abilities. This helps me recognise your child’s strengths as well as the areas where they may need extra support and shapes the therapy plan we create together.
𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 P𝗹𝗮𝗻
Following the assessment I’ll explain my findings in clear, jargon-free language and outline a therapy plan tailored to your child. This will include achievable goals and practical suggestions that can fit into your daily life.
𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 S𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 L𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Therapy sessions can take place in our clinic setting, your own home, or your child’s school - whichever is most appropriate and comfortable for your child and family.
𝗢𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 S𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Ongoing sessions will be discussed and agreed with you if appropriate, ensuring the approach feels right for your child and family.
𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 I𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
Parents and carers are central to the process. I’ll give you clear guidance and simple activities to try at home, so you feel confident supporting your child between sessions.
I’m Louise Graham, a specialist children’s physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience dedicated to supporting babies, children, and young people. For many years, I worked at one of the largest children’s hospitals in the North East, where I gained extensive expertise in paediatrics - from babies and developmental delays to children and young people with complex neurological, orthopaedic and long-term medical conditions.
I’ve supported children and young people recovering from cancer treatment, rehabilitation after surgery and those living with lifelong conditions that affect their movement. Alongside my NHS career, I also provide private physiotherapy to families who want flexible, personalised support. This combination of hospital and community experience means I understand the challenges families face and how to make therapy practical, effective and achievable in everyday life. I’m committed to providing safe, high-quality care.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, I’m HCPC registered and I’m a registered member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. I am also a member of the Medico-Legal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, providing expert opinion to the courts in medical legal cases. Families describe me as approachable, supportive, and practical. My aim is always to make physiotherapy feel positive and manageable - helping children achieve their
goals while making parents feel confident and reassured.
